Cipro â Side-Effects, Safety and Recall Information

According to the FDA's data on Cipro®*, side effects are not common, but they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these side-effects are severe or do not go away:


· upset stomach
· diarrhea
· vomiting
· stomach pain
· headache
· restlessness
· nervousness
· difficulty falling or staying asleep
· anxiety
· nightmares


If you experience any of the following side-effects, call your doctor immediately:


· skin rash
· itching
· hives
· difficulty breathing or swallowing
· swelling of the face or throat
· yellowing of the skin or eyes
· dark urine
· pale or dark stools
· blood in urine
· unusual tiredness
· sunburn or blistering
· seizures or convulsions
· vaginal infection
· vision changes
· pain, swelling, or rupture of a tendon
· dizziness
· confusion
· tremors
· delusions
· seeing visions or hearing voices that do not exist
· depression
· thoughts about dying or killing yourself

 

*Cipro® is marketed by Forest as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent. The active ingredient is ciprofloxacin.
