According to the FDA's data,  Depakote®* side-effects are not common, but they can occur.


· drowsiness
· headache
· indigestion


If you experience any of the following side-effects or those listed in the IMPORTANT WARNING section, call your doctor immediately:


· skin rash
· easy bruising
· tiny purple-colored skin spots
· bloody nose
· unusual bleeding
· dark urine
· fever
· sore





*Depakote® is marketed by Abbott as a treatment for seizure disorders. The active ingredient is valproic acid.
