Prevacid â Side-Effects, Safety and Recall Information

According to the FDA, side-effects from Prevacid®* are not common, but they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these side-effects are severe or do not go away:


· upset stomach
· vomiting
· diarrhea
· stomach pain


If you have any of the following side-effects, stop taking Prevacid® and call your doctor immediately:


· rash or hives
· itching
· difficulty breathing or swallowing




*Prevacid® is marketed by TAP Pharmaceutical Products to treat acid reflux disease. The active ingredient in Prevacid® is lansoprazole.
