According to the FDA, side-effects from Zyprexa®* are not common, but they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these side-effects are severe or do not go away:


· headache
· agitation
· drowsiness
· constipation
· dry mouth
· upset stomach
· vomiting
· diarrhea


If you experience any of the following side-effects, call your doctor immediately:


· seizures
· uncontrollable jerking movements
· fever
· very stiff muscles
· excess sweating
· fast or irregular heartbeat

 




*Zyprexa® is marketed by Eli Lilly and Company as an anti-psychotic medication. The active ingredient in Zyprexa® is olanzapine.
